The Great Karakoram Traverse Trek

A combination of our established Gondogoro La, K2 and Snow Lake treks, this 5-week expedition must rank as the ultimate Karakoram challenge which starts from the south-east at Hushe and ends in Nagar/Hunza to the north-west. Starting out from the Hushe Valley, we cross the Gondogoro pass (5585 M) into Concordia, where we allow time to visit K2 Base camp before set ting off down the Baltoro Glacier to the snout of the Biafo Glacier. From where we follow the excellent Snow Lake route over the Hispar La (5151 M) into Nagar/Hunza. This is a sustained and strenuous high level adventure in a remote location, with more of the feeling and logistics of an expedition than a trek. The trek is tough though but the reward is greater.

Day 01.	Arrive Islamabad. Baltistan Tours provide Complimentary airport transfers to hotel
Day 02.	Fly to Skardu and then take the 2 hour journey by jeep via the Indus and Shyok valleys to Khaplu. Karakoram Lodge Khaplu Hotel. (2,600 m 8530 ft)
Day 03.	Drive to Hushe Village. Camp. (2,750 m 9022 ft.)
Day 04.	Trek to Saitcho at the junction of the Charakusa and Gondogoro Valleys. Camp. (3,400m 11,150 ft)
Day 05.	Rest day at Saitcho. There is an option to walk up the Charakusa Valley beside the glacier for a closer look at K6 and K7. Camp. (3,400m 11,150 ft)
Day 06.	Trek to Dalsan. Camp. (4,200 m 13,780 ft)
Day 07.	Trek to Huisprung. Camp. (4600m/15090ft),
Day 08.	Trek to Gondogoro La High Camp. Camp. 4800metres (15,750ft)
Day 09.	Trek to Ali Camp. 4800 metres (15,750 feet).
Day 10.	Trek to Concordia. Camp (4500m. / 14,765ft.).
Day 11.	Rest day in Concordia. We have the option to trek up the Godwin Austin Glacier to visit K2 base camp via Broad Peak base camp.
Day 12.	Trek to Shachspong Camp. (4200m. / 13,780ft.)
Day 13.	Trek to Horbose. Camp. (3930m. / 12,894ft.).
Day 14.	Trek to Paiju. Camp. (3450m. / 11,320ft.).
Day 15.	Trek to Jola. Camp. (3165m. / 10,384ft.).
Day 16.	Trek to King’s Polo Ground’ at the snout of the Biafo Glacier. Altitude c. 3000 metres.
Day 17.	Trek to Namla 3400 m.
Day 18.	Trek to Mango Camp in the ablation valley. 3626m
Day 19.	Trek to Baintha Camp. 3940m.
Day 20.	Rest day at Baintha
